How to Cancel an Assignment in Claims Workspace & Claims Estimate

This article explains how to cancel an assignment in Claims Workspace and Claims Estimate. Note that assignments canceled before the invoice is sent will not incur charges.  If you want to mark a claim as "Closed (Invalid)" or "Closed (Cancelled)", please refer to this article:  How to mark a claim as Closed (Invalid) or Closed (Cancelled).



Follow these steps to cancel an assignment in Claims Workspace or Claims Estimate: 


  • Step 2A: In Claims Workspace, navigate to the Assignments section at the top of your screen and select the assignment you wish to cancel (you may also find your Assignments in the Claims section instead). You can also search your Claim with the claim number in the Quick Search bar.
  • Step 3A; In Claims Workspace, select Assignment Cancelled under the Statuses tab and click save in the top right corner of the window.


  • Step 2B: In Claims Estimate, navigate to the Assignments section in the Claim Navigation tab and select the assignment you wish to cancel.
  • Step 3B: In Claims Estimate, select Assignment Cancelled and click OK in the bottom right corner of the window. Be sure to save and upload the changes.
