A clean install refers to reinstalling Mobile Claims as though it was the first time it was installed on your computer even if it had previously been installed. There are a few steps to follow and must be followed in order to be able to perform a clean install.
Before starting this process make sure to release ownership of all claims to prevent any Red X / ownership issues.
Step 1 - Uninstall Mobile Claims
a) Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features
b) Find Symbility and uninstall the software
Step 2 - Rename the old Symbility Folder
a) Go to the old Symbility Folder. By default...
C:\Program Files (x86)\Symbility Mobile Claims or
C:\Program Files (x86)\CoreLogic Mobile Claims
b) Rename this Folder by adding .old to the end (or even better, the date)
Step 3 - Rename your Registry*
a) Go to windows search and type "Regedit" and click ENTER
b) Once in Registry go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Symbility Solutions Inc. > Symbility Mobile Claims
c) Rename "Symbility Mobile Claims" by adding .old to the end (or even better, the date)
*You may need assistance from your IT helpdesk to access or rename your registry key.
Step 4 - Reinstall Symbility
a) Once the first three steps are done you can now install Symbility once again. Go to Claims Connect and login
b) Download Symbility Mobile Claims
c) After downloading install Symbility Mobile Claims
NOTE: Clearing the registry resets preferences
*You may need assistance from your IT helpdesk to access or rename your registry key.
